Product Details

A beautifully hand crafted field mouse created by a genuine cottage industry in England. Lovingly woven from specially grown, and harvested, wheat straw.

Made to a traditional, time-honoured design, their exact significance is shrouded in folklore and meanders from county to county across the country.

A talisman of good fortune made from the last sheaves of corn harvested, capturing the spirit of the crop to carry over into the next year. Originally a pagan symbol of fertility, it has carried over into the Christian Harvest Festival.

Hanging indoors it should last for many years.

Height 7cm by 3.5cm width approx (not including the tail). Sold individually.
